Description
A visual identity and web solution for SheCanPlay, a Danish music community empowering young women and gender minorities to build professional careers in music.

Mapping SheCanPlay’s visual touchpoints across social media, events, editorial content and merchandise.
Analysing competing music communities and organisations to identify visual positioning and communication styles.
Developing early concepts around movement, community, transformation and safe spaces within the music industry.
Collecting references from music culture, experimental typography and playful digital aesthetics.
Sketching hand-drawn symbols, stars and doodles to create a more personal and expressive identity.
Testing colour palettes, layouts and graphic systems for the visual identity and website.
Designing wireframes and interface concepts focused on community, events and artist visibility.
Applying the identity across Instagram posts, reels and community-driven content.
SheCanPlay is a Danish non-profit association supporting young women and gender minorities between 15 and 26 in building sustainable, professional careers in music - through mentoring, industry access, and community. Our concept was "Introducing", the idea that SheCanPlay introduces its members to the music industry, to opportunities, and to each other. This concept shaped every visual and coded decision we made. The visual identity was built around dots as a core graphic element, reflecting both the community structure and the musical connection to sound and rhythm. The colour palette landed on a bold pink with hand-drawn doodles, giving the brand a warm, energetic and personal feel. We also developed a coded dot generator, allowing users to upload images or videos and generate dotted outputs, with full control over dot size, colour, gap and density. I coded a live music visualiser for SheCanPlay: a web-based asset that listens to audio input and generates real-time visuals that react to the music, with bass controlling dot size and movement, midrange controlling how many dots are active, and treble driving the colours. The project was created as a group school project at DMJX, covering visual identity, web development and coded tools.
