Description
A visual identity for Ready Set Spaghetti, a fictional fast food restaurant built around a retro Italian-American aesthetic, a hand-drawn mascot and a full brand system.

Researching existing fast food branding, mascots and ordering systems to understand visual language and customer experience.
Developing the visual direction through Italian-inspired references, food culture and retro restaurant aesthetics.
Exploring typography that balanced retro friendliness, readability and Italian-inspired character.
Building a colour palette inspired by classic Italian restaurants and retro fast food branding.
Designing “Tommy Tomat” — a mascot inspired by vintage fast food characters and retro cartoon styles.
Applying the visual identity across packaging, takeaway materials and self-service kiosk interfaces.
Ready Set Spaghetti was my first exam project, a fictional fast food brand inspired by retro American diners and Italian-American visual culture. The project explored how nostalgia, typography and character design could shape a recognisable and playful visual identity. Through research into fast food chains, vintage packaging and Italian food culture, I developed a complete branding system including logo, typography, packaging, kiosk screens and a hand-drawn mascot character named Tommy Tomat. The visual identity combines checkerboard patterns, saturated colors and retro-inspired typography to create a brand universe balancing humour, nostalgia and fast food aesthetics.
